Krystal Marie Ball

  Krystal Marie Balm (born November 24 the 24th of November, 1980) is an American journalist and political commentator. She was previously a presidential hopeful as an American television host at MSNBC, a frequent contributor to The Huffington Post, former host and co-host of The Hill's Rising along with Saagarenjeti. Enjeti and Ball announced their intention to quit the show in the month of May 2021 in order to start Breaking Points, a new independent project with Krystal and Saagar. Ball is a cohost of the show Krystal Kyle & Friends. She has made guest appearances on networks like CNN, CNBC, Fox News and programs including Real Time with Bill Maher. Ball was married to Jonathan Dariyanani in 2020. Ball says that her political interest due to her experience as pregnant during the 2008 primaries and also watching the results of the 2008 US presidential election while working in Jordan. She witnessed the impact that it had on the citizens of her home country and was moved to see the global impact of US politics. She was a senior Fellow of the New Leaders Council. Ball was chosen by the Democratic Party to represent Virginia's 1st Congressional District in the election of 2010. She was defeated by Rob Wittman. She was the host of The Cycle on MSNBC from June 2012 to July 15, 2015. She created the People's House Project, an action committee that works for Democratic causes in May 2017.
